Behind every epic burger… there’s an even more epic story.
Here’s the crew that keeps Charlie’s Snack Box sizzling, rolling, and bringing the laughs wherever we go:
Charlie – The Boss Man / Head Burger Flipper 🍔🔥
Charlie’s the guy with the spatula in one hand and a mad grin in the other.
With 13 years of chef experience, he’s flipped more burgers than most people have eaten chips, and he still gets excited like it’s day one every time he opens the grill.
Charlie is equal parts dreamer, chef, and chaos magnet. He comes up with “mad menu ideas” at the speed of light — one minute it’s a classic cheeseburger, the next it’s some crazy “chips wrapped in a burger with gravy on top” creation. He’s also the guy shouting down the phone at Mum and Danielle:
“Mum! I need more buns! And cheese! And bottles of water! And no, don’t forget the other bottles of water!”
If it smells amazing, that’s Charlie. If something’s on fire, that’s also Charlie. But somehow, despite the chaos, he’s created a menu that’s full of flavour, affordable, and proper British comfort food.
Fun fact: after 13 years of cooking, he still can’t top Mum’s spag bol. And he knows it.
Dad – The Mad Mechanic / Van Surgeon & Tea-Drinking Legend 🔧☕
Dad is the man who turns ordinary vans into mobile feasts. He’s part engineer, part magician, part slightly terrifying angle grinder enthusiast.
When we first decided to go big, Dad attacked a brand-new van with a power tool like it owed him money. Sparks flew, I nearly cried, and by the end of it… we had the van of our dreams.
He’s also the master of “improvised van surgery.” Electrical faults? Fixed. Gas issues? Sorted. Van on fire? …well, probably fine.
And don’t let him fool you — Dad is the reason our van runs smoothly at events, football clubs, and festivals. That, and the tea. Always the tea.
Danielle – Snack Queen / Chief of Chaos Control 👑🍟
Danielle is the calm in the storm… mostly. She’s the one making sure that Charlie’s “brilliant new idea” doesn’t destroy the van, the kitchen, or the order of operations.
She runs the front, sorts customers, and keeps the boys in check with a single eyebrow raise that could stop a van in its tracks. She’s the ninja of the sauce bottles, the master of timing, and the only person who knows where everything is… always.
Without Danielle, the Snack Box would be a fancy cardboard box full of slightly burnt chips and panicked shouting.
Lisa – Mum / Delivery Queen, Legend, & Charlie’s Hero 🚗❤️
Now, where do we even start with Lisa? She’s not just Mum — she’s Charlie’s world, his ultimate role model, and the reason this whole chaos works. Everybody just calls her Mum, because honestly, no other name would ever fit.
She’s our on-call delivery legend, running back and forth from wholesalers with Danielle while Charlie’s on the phone, shouting orders like a man possessed:
“Mum! More buns! Cheese! Mayo! Bottled water! And… no, the OTHER bottles of water!”
Lisa has the stamina of an Olympian. She can grab more bottled water in one run than most people see in a lifetime. Picture her weaving through trolleys at Makro like a ninja, dodging shopping carts, forklifts, and occasionally Charlie himself.
She’s also the listener of dreams. Every “mad menu idea” from Charlie, she just nods, smiles, and quietly thinks, “he’s lucky I love him.” She’s the reason Charlie started cooking, the reason the kitchen hums like it does, and the reason he’s still obsessed with food after all these years.
Fun fact: after 13 years, Charlie still can’t make her legendary spag bol properly — and he knows it. But he tries anyway.
Lisa is the heart, the grounding force, and the glue that keeps the Snack Box from spinning completely out of control. Honestly, we’d all be lost (and hungry) without her.

And finally, our unsung heroes — the friendly, smiling, slightly caffeinated legends who serve your burgers, sling your chips, and make sure every visit to the Snack Box is full of fun.
They’re the ones keeping energy high, food hot, and banter flowing. Festivals, football grounds, fairs — they’ve seen it all, survived it all, and somehow still manage to smile through the chaos.
If you’ve ever laughed at our van, it’s probably thanks to them. Or the coffee. Or both.
